i woke up at 4:30 this morning with the absolute certain revelation that i will never again be kissed breathless, kissed into and with total abandon, by my husband. despite talking about it. despite trying. it will never again be part of what we share.

I remember thinking something similar about my marriage a long time ago. I hope you have a happier ending than we did.

God is a god of surprises. The founder of our church said once that if your spouse does not love you the way you would like to be loved, (and you give your all to God and to your husband,the marriage) God himself will love you in that way.
I hope you can have this.
I remember wondering about innocence regained. If is it actually possible. Yet - with God, all things are made new. And much later I experienced it. I mean, it is not that certain things are forgotten, but when you change and grow....somehow, it is almost as if it was to another person. The sting is gone.
So sting gone, or "buzz" regained, I think though in human eyes it looks impossible now, perhaps your revelation was for the purpose of your "waking up" and getting out of a denial of some sorts....and once you take some things to task...God can come in and healing can begin.

RYC: YEAH IT WOULD BE GREAT TO DO THAT. MY FATHER BOUGHT LAND (21 ACRES) MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS KID AND RENOVATED A HOUSE THERE AND WHAT NOT ITS WHERE HE WANTS TO RETIRE TO, BUT ANYHOW HE REGISTERED IT (ALONG WITH THE ALL NEIGHBORS ON THE WHOLE SIDE OF THE MOUTAIN) IN THE "CLEAN AND GREEN" ZONING. SO IT CAN NEVER BE SUBDIVIED, DEVOLPED OR TURNED INTO BUSINESSES. ITS NICE TO KNOW IT WILL AS BEAUTIFUL IN 20, 30, 50 YEARS AS IT IS NOW.
IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE A COMMUNE. MAYBE SOME DAY.
OH AND I AGREE WITH THE NON-MATERIALISM THING. ITS PART OF WHY I AM BUDDHIST. I GAUGE SUCCESS ON QUALITY OF LIFE, HAPPINESS, AND PEACE. NOT ON THE CAR YOU DRIVE OR HOW BIG YOUR TV IS.

I have done a post on suicide that addresses this issue with tenderness, reality, scriptures, information on medications, help to pay for medications, helplines, etc. Good link for future ministry needs.
